Welcome To The Hub!
We are the Sanctuary young adult group inside Sheridan College. We believe God has a heart for young people and he has a great plan for their lives. Our leadership team are dedicated to helping people better understand who God is, his plan for this broken world, and how we can follow and become more like him.
We offer small group meetings throughout the week for young adults to discuss relevant issues from a biblical perspective. It doesn’t matter what you know or believe about God, you will find an accepting group of individuals all trying to discover truth and purpose.
We believe youth are the present and future and so we make attending the Sanctuary Sunday services a priority. This helps ground us in learning more about God while providing us opportunities to serve alongside people of all ages and walks of life.
Social gatherings are very important for us. Some times it can be a planned event like bowling, or spontaneously hanging out with each other after a small group or lunch after Sunday service. We enjoy spending time together.
Red Frogs Canada
We also are the official Sheridan Oakville leadership of Red Frogs Canada, a support program for young people from the ages of 15 – 25. Red Frogs recognize that the culture of young people is dominated by stress to success and the excessive consumption of alcohol and other substances which can lead to dangerous and life altering behaviours. Red Frogs mission is to provide a positive peer presence in alcohol-fuelled environments where young people gather, educate young people on safe partying behaviours, and promote and provide non-alcoholic and/or diversionary activities that engage young people in these environments.
We serve pancakes to students on rez, provide hydration stations for SU events, support to students who are in need, and overall general care for students on campus.
